That makes sense since the DCU (in this iteration) is only starting and feels fresh and you can get on board at the "start" of their new main line.
MCU is already too bloated and overplayed and they used up their main characters so you're left with third-rate ones mucking about.
FF in particular were never that popular and their "strength" came from them appearing in crossover events as the more grounded and mature crew as opposed to characters that are more of a wild card.

It's unfortunate that at this juncture MCU is hinging on FF as their hail mary since they're kinda boring and definitely not catering to theyounger audience.

All of the 60s retro aesthetic feels like window dressing to cover up all of the institutional rot that exists in the MCU assembly line.

The aesthetics don't change the fact that Disney/Marvel shoot all of these things on screen with incomplete scripts.

Gunn's Superman felt way more authentic in a lot of ways. The "double feature of bright wholesome heroes" feels forced.

That Falcon movie, Thunderbolts (i don't care if it was decent - that's grading on a steep curve), Eternals, Thor 4, Ant Man 3 (plus Kraven, Morbius, Madame Web) have just left an awful taste in peoples mouths.

At best, this movie is probably just going to be "fine" which is not good enough in 2025 after all the slop Marvel has dumped on us

They're mistakenly releasing these movies thinking that the "fans" will keep up with the "lore", when in fact everyone just wants a solid movie.

I am one of those people who was permanently embittered against the MCU by Doctor Strange 2 (for others it was Thor, Quantumania, Secret Empire… so many choices). So with Marvel seemingly building the next Avengers around the casts of Brave New World, Thunderbolts and FF, I would prefer FF to do poorly so Marvel is stuck with an entire cast of losers.

I’m not sure how bad of a girlboss this Sue will be, Shakman did OK with WandaVision (which due to the sitcom nostalgia factor had no “look how bad women had it in those days” moments). However that may be more Jac Schaeffer’s doing than his, so who knows.

Based on what I see so far in promos and so on it seems like the movie will be too "by the book" and bland, in order to do a fresh start for the franchise. The problem is that FF are not that exciting at all and the cast look a bit off. Not a bad cast if FF appeared earlier alongside popular heroes, but at this point to hinge it all on them is much. Even in comics they work best when they show up as supporting characters that are basically "elders" of the MC superheroes and act more level-headed and so on, but whenever the spotlight is on them primarily they tend to be bland.

I think the movie will underperform and again toss the entire MCU into a no man's zone.
