just saw the new superman movie and now I'm interested in this character. I've never read a single superman comic or watched any of the shows or movies besides superman 2025. what are the good superman things worth checking out? I'm not huge on binging media, so I'm looking for stuff that is consistently good.

I think the 1996 Superman animated series is superior to Batman (blasphemy!) and very comfy.

For one-off stories I liked Superman Red Son and Kingdom Come.

I downloaded the entire "reign of the supermen" saga but I haven't read that yet.
