Dil deserved it. What a useless fucking character, holy shit. Even in the original Rugrats he was pointless. I know it sounds weird to hate on a literal baby but he had to be one of the worst gimmick characters of all time.
>show was already about babies
>let's introduce another baby except he's more of a baby than the other babies so he can't communicate with them at all
>he also can't move around on his own or really interact with anything without being dragged around
>so now a lot of episodes are about babies babysitting another baby that quite literally adds nothing to the dynamic
Who even thought that was a good idea?

The one where Susie gets scammed when offered a music career is so realistic it kind of messed me up as a child.

That episode was pretty real but also kind of weird. Like who targets a 12 year old for a scam like that and expects them to actually be able to come up with $1000 cash without their parents somehow finding out about it?
There were a lot moments like that in All Grown Up where it's clear they were writing the characters and scenarios with the mindset the characters were like 16-17 instead of 11-13.

She just shows up in the auditorium one day when Susie is practicing and starts the scam by pretending to be a talent scout. Later on when Susie shows up to the address given to her after paying the money, there's a janitor or something there that says that it happened again, revealing that other people have been scammed before. It's not made clear the ages of the other people she scammed or if she was specifically targeting schools.

Carl and Hoods’ side plots were elevated by their incongruity with the rest of Ginger’s world
There’s not enough of a contrast in tone with AGU

The show was meant to target the tween market and it’s clear they wrote a high school show but arbitrarily aged the characters down by just saying they were 11-13.
Just look at the school they went to, it was far roo intricate for a middle school, and even then no middle school has 10 and 11 year olds

>Angelica
>molested
Yeah ok she would film the whole thing censor the dudes face and email the video to her parents saying something really fucking mean when he cums in her raw.

More like she got thrown out because she kept trying to get the dude to take her with him far away. As well as Dill wouldn't join in/take one for the team.
Its fucking Angelica girls like her are horrid little creatures with mommy&daddy issues.Like that Hapa asian/jew girl who did the most hardcore repulsive porn when turning 18 that even the producers were like >Is this a good idea? only for her father to find out she was doing porn spending hundreds of thousands of dollars to scrub shit from the internet. Because she wanted to piss daddy off because shes Asian and not a Jew like he wants her to be.
Angelica would go to facial abuse/gloryhole swallows with a fake ID at 15 fail try again next year get in do the most nasty shit possible and randomly let it slip after fucking the 19th dude in 3 hours >UGHHHHhhh does my 16 year old pussy feel good its still so tight after all this. Causing everyone to freak out look in her bag find her real ID and proceed to delete fucking everything and literally yank her off a guy she is riding hard right as he is cuming to start screaming what the fuck is wrong with you are you trying to get us all thrown in prison for life.

Man I wonder how often porn studios have to deal with shit like that and what they do. Gonna google around and see if I can find some funny stressful stories.

While I liked Dil as a kid, it was pretty dumb considering Tommy literally turns 1 in the first episode and was shown to not be too different before that unless he literally popped into existence they day, which means Dil being such a baby doesn't completely make sense. I feel like they had even interacted with newborns before and they still talked.

True, though to be fair the whole concept of a tween is pretty much a pre-teen who wants to be a teen but isn't. Otherwise they're just kids so it makes sense they thought that demographic would like that. Kids usually like seeing kids they're age getting to do slightly more adult things than they're actually allowed to do.

Literally in the movie they talk to newborns before Dil is born.

Dil was only added to be a gimmick for the movie and they rarely used him in the show afterwards.

That said, as a kid I was a massive Rugrats and saw all 3 movies in theatres (and even got an autograph for E.G. Daily at a comic shop). And as a young kid I liked Dil, but mainly I liked the idea that the show had evolved because it seemed novel to my young mind. Though, I didn’t like Kimi’s addition until I was slightly older and got a thing for Asian girls watching AGU
