I mean, it's kind of silly to presume that the ENTIRE planet was racially homogenous. Not even Mars is like that in DC mythos.

Lois & Clark is a comfy show, but he is not the best Superman. Too short. Waaaaay too short.

He wasn’t very good as Superman (he spent too much time standing there with his arms crossed like in >>149430924 (OP) ), but he was terrific as Clark, and had great chemistry with Teri Hatcher.

Disagree. His Superman was iconic. Standing there with his arms crossed because he didn’t need to punch some two bit crook and turn him into a smudge. It’s called restraint.

yeah he was being restrained by standards & practices who told the show they couldn't have punches connect because it would put the advertisers off and make the show unprofitable

it was never his decision

>>149433189
the ratings were high until Lois & Clark got together in S2, Lois was a frog-eating clone for the entire next season, it went off the air because people stopped watching

people say it was iconic but you can't even name one of Lex's schemes from this show because none of them were memorable in the slightest, it was basically a soap opera with some marginally more fantastic elements

>did they show

it was on at 7PM ET on ABC in the mid 1990s, no, no they did not show tits, that was not how that worked

John Shea is an underrated Lex. Teri Hatcher was a good wacky kinda Superman's Girlfriend Lois. Cain was mostly an oily dweeb. Everybody else aside from Lane Smith's completely bonkers version of Perry is totally forgettable.

I'm not saying it was bad. Lane Smith's a great character actor and is always entertaining. But you can't deny the whole thing was fucking bizarre.

Well that and it was not really supposed to be a proper Superman show but a prime time workplace drama that was way more about relationships than a good guy punching robots.

They shifted to that shit in season 3 and it was fucking awful.

I always thought his voice was too high.
Though I like how he's half-Japanese, that works pretty well.
Also it's a good suit.
