They did a lot of cool stuff with the premise over the course of the show. The supernatural elements started out much more horror oriented and there were plenty of unsettling episodes with a creepy atmosphere early on. Then they pivoted into Munsters humor and that worked too. There are no bad episodes of Billy and Mandy that come to mind. It ended before it stopped being funny.
