>>149443892>>149443493>>149437029 (OP)I admit I haven't gotten past season 1 in Ducktales but it seems like the idea behind this scene is that the implication is the woman character is better weakness than the male.
I like strong female characters but when it's done in this "anything you can do I can do better" light it just feels annoying.
It may sound a bit hypocritical but I like when there's a stronger female character contrasting a male character who isn't as masculine, but it's clear that his worth lies elsewhere.
Think Astrid and Hiccup, Darvis and Holga in Honor Among Thieves. Hell even Susie and Kris in Deltarune. They're better at their male counter parts in strength but are very lacking in other departments.
Webby in my opinion kind of felt like this done wrong. Her big flaw was that "Oh man I'm so cool and brave and wacky that people think I'm weird." That doesn't really feel like a flaw. If anything her flaw ends up saving the day most of the time. Making the triplets seem kind of useless in comparison.
In this scene it seems like Louie's strength is more to be the bullshitter and the charismatic one, but does that really matter in this scene if she can walk the walk that he can't?
I don't know. I haven't seen the whole scene. But yeah at a glance it feels like even if she does eat ass at the end, she doesn't really need him.
