What are the most kind, comforting and inspirational superman stories? For all the talk about who Superman should be, I really don't think I read many superman comics in my life
>>149440346 (OP) Everything Geoff Johns and Gary Frank did All-Star is the most popular recommendation but it's fun New Frontier isn't a Superman centric story but it's the best example I can think of where he's in a really tough or shitty situation but remains inspirational and I like one scene where he compliments Robin. Great book. Has a neat cameo in Animal Man where he's very cool to Buddy Baker

>>149440346 (OP) Alan Moore's "Whatever Happened to The Man of Steel?" story was a great ending for Silver Age Superman
>>149443981 There was a concerted effort to shame and harass people who were actually making reccomendations, so I'm entirely unsympathetic to this particular complaint. Also, "the Early Years" doesn't have any Maggin and that's ridiculous.

>>149440346 (OP) Some of the best, comfiest Superman stories are in DC Comics Presents.
>>149443199 Do you have any other /co/ charts like this anon? I just got into comics a couple months ago and have been enjoying myself a lot, but it's definitely a different beast from manga. I feel like charts like these would be helpful for me.
>>149440346 (OP) That's because you live in a paradox of postmodern critique crap where the only real depth the character ever had was fabricated after the entire canon of shallow childrens stories ended and the fans and writers became fat losers in their 40's having an existential crisis about what their lives mean.
