Well, look who finally showed up in the cast page of Amazing Spider-Man #8. Sorry 616 bros, it looks like Kelly’s era of passable mediocrity is already coming to a close. He just couldn’t hold Nick Lowe, or Paul’s obsessively violent Polish fanbase back any longer, and have to do what they can to turd up the book. For a little while it seemed like it was limping back up the sales charts a bit, but I’m afraid ASM’s summer of success is already fading.

On an unrelated note, Ultimate has been renewed for at least another year after the Maker returns per Zack Davisson, and it looks like Nick “The Dick” Lowe wants Ultimate Spider-Man carrying on indefinitely if he can!

What one thing I don’t understand is why are people putting so much hope on the writers? Like Nick Spencer would save Spider-Man, or Wells, or Kelly, or whoever is on it at that moment.

Aren’t all important decisions made by the editorial team? Nick Spencer himself must have been under their watch when he was rekindling the romace between Peter and MJ, and must have been already warned not to have Peter propose. So why are we all putting our hope on any Spider-Man team when the editorial says the last word in the end?
