Why were my parents like "you shouldn't be ashamed you enjoyed Thomas when you were a kid!"
I feel like I should be.
>>149445890 (OP)Look at your time spent with Thomas as early training that got you on track to become the anon you are today.
There are adults on /co/ regularly posting without irony about their love of Paw Patrol. Why should you be ashamed you enjoyed a quality kids' show as a kid?
>>149445890 (OP)they're ashamed you still watch it while masturbating now.
Why the fuck would you be ashamed about enjoying something for kids as a kid? Do you also feel ashamed for watching Spongebob or playing snakes and ladders?
you should feel ashamed for not enjoying postman pat instead
>>149446194To be based is to fear no cringe
>>149445890 (OP)Because you feel you're a big boy now. You are old and wise and you cringe at your past self. Well, your parents are even older and even wiser. You will be too and you will be cringing at your current self in the future.
>>149445890 (OP)Weird thread, OP.
Anyway, I just took my toddler to see and ride Thomas and Percy irl. Seeing the happiness and excitement on his face made it one of the happiest days of my life.
>>149445954Underrated
But anyway the main problem with Thomas was just how weirdly capitalist bootlicking they all were. They were all way too excited to be 'useful' slaves of Mr Topham Hat
>>149446340Not OP but I'm genuinely happy for you.
You don't have to be ashamed for liking Thomas as a kid.
Hell, you shouldn't be ashamed for being nostalgic for Thomas and still appreciating it as an adult.
It's when you become one of those train adults who still takes Thomas super seriously and considers it a tentpole of your life that it becomes shameful. There is an acceptable level at which someone can enjoy content made for kids no matter what it is. You can be a Thomas fan without it being weird. You can even be a Sonic or MLP fan without being weird. It just so happens that there are a lot of people who lack the self awareness to stop at the acceptable level.
>>149445890 (OP)The set design is amazing for the first couple of seasons, especially season 4.
