New 52 Aquaman was him at his most popular. For a while he was one of the best selling comics.

Sure was. Something about a swashbuckling loner with a jetpack and a helmet just feels right

Too bad in the movies he's a tattooed alcoholic Hawaiian that looks like a biker gang reject working at Hot Topic in the mall.

I remember I was telling my normie friends at work that this is the best comic out and they looked at me like I was crazy, almost fucked up the hoes for me. The movie gets released and everyone becomes lifelong aquaman supporters, I didn’t know what to feel.

Yeah this is a great run would love to the others make a comeback as a stable team he works with.

It was actually kind of surreal seeing this book get the attention and praise it did. Still good when Johns leaves and maintains quality at least a little bit into rebirth. I have the first couple issues of Adams stuff but haven't cracked them open yet.

It annoys me how he would have made a much better Namor than Aquaman.

I see why they did it. 60's Aquaman was written in "what would Robert E Howard do" kinda way. That's why PAD went so pulpy with Aquaman's post crisis origin. Getting a barbarian type to play Aquaman just followed that logic and Momoa at the time was "that guy".

Not until recently if I am correct. Basically, writers realized that a dude that live deep under the sea would be hella though to survive the pressure and so decided to make him cool on this basis.

I'm glad people enjoy comic movies but I always call out people that used to shit on them. I don't give a fuck
