Frank Miller is a fantastic writer with a great grasp of melodrama and larger than life tragedy and suffering of the sort that's perfectly suited for genre fiction. He was also, before his stroke, a passable artist though art was never the main point of his works. Pretending you're above him somehow just means you're a bad person and immature. Sorry, kid.

What's with all the Frank Miller hate? Yeah he doesn't draw as good as he used to but his old stuff is solid. Digital kinda fucked the quality of almost every artist.

I unironically love DK2 and DK3. I especially love the art and the colors. Most other modern comics (early 2000's to today) are ugly as sin, with horrible digital colors and terrible art traced from real pictures. But Frank Millers art, be it old or new, really appeals to me deep down in my souliest of souls.

people criticize how Frank draws, but he had already started doing proportions like that by the later Sin City issues and in 300. The difference is that his art was more elaborate with more figures and things going on, and Lynn Varley was coloring it traditionally.
His modern art is largely just single figures so they stand out more

'Holy Terror' was first announced as a work in progress in 2006, when it was still being conceptualized as a Batman project. It wasn't published until 2011.

That assessment of the sociopolitical climate of the early 2000s would hold better if Miller wouldn't have described his own comic as "a piece of propaganda" since the start, one which he later acknowledged was "bound to offend just about everybody", and if he hadn't said outright by the time it was published: "I hope this book pisses people off", a reaction that, on the part of critics (and, arguably, most readers), he achieved with some success, although perhaps not in the relevant/profitable way he had expected.
