I'm trying to learn which language families make which kinds of mistakes when phrasing things in English, like how speakers of languages without articles, like Russian, might not use articles.
When there's a word order "mistake" which is not technically grammatically incorrect but would change the connotation of a sentence or sound off to a native/fluent speaker, like your "can't literally do," I assume the writer originally speaks something from the Latin family, like Spanish or French.
