Wonder Woman's the surprise hit
Batman's stupid but fun once you accept the insanity
Superman is alright
Flash is pretty good
Martian Manhunter is kino

Pretty great. DC managing to almost completely unJUST themselves in a single year is remarkable.

I positively hated Scott Snyder's Batman during the New 52, but it's a lot easier to stomach the outrageous things he wants to do when it's not mainline Bruce.

If Absolute had been DC's approach back in 2011, I'd basically be a lifelong fan of his at this point.

Outside of Martian Manhunter itโ€™s absolutely terrible.

AWW is fucking awful though. Kelly Thompsonโ€™s writing, particularly her dialogue, is insufferable. Even the art is terrible despite the artist being much better on Batman dark patterns.

>>149482673
They havenโ€™t though. Dark patterns, Absolute Martian Manhunter and B&R Y1 are the only good books they have.

Batman: Really good.
Superman: Boring and self-righteous.
Wonder Woman: Cool.
Martian Manhunter: Retarded and self-righteous.
Flash: Cool.

Batman is my favorite. It's like reading a Robocop comic with Batman as the protagonist.
Superman could be cool, but there are too many talking heads and the art doesn't quite keep up with the action.
Wonder Woman must be the best comic Kelly Thompson has ever written, which isn't saying much, but it's still good enough.
Martian Manhunter tries to be Grant Morrison, but ends up being a sick communist's mouthpiece who constantly tries to lecture without acknowledging the problems on his side (a.k.a. Middle Eastern terrorists).
Flash is just starting out, but it's good for now. Lemire is a good writer and knows how to evoke a "Peter Parker" vibe in Wally. Not to mention that Grodd as a little monkey is kino.

Amazing how DC somehow managed to have a good year in the western comic book industry in the current year and is all because they just went balls to the wall with the absolute universe.

People expect DC to be woke slop, so when it isn't (or at least it's not overt woke slop), it becomes notable. That being said, I don't really like any of them beyond Absolute Batman, and I only like Absolute Batman because of how fucking absurd it is.

>WW
Kino, best run Diana has had in God knows how long. It might not even be a stretch to say in decades. Thompson absolutely BTFO everything King has been doing with her and understands the character of Wonder Woman better.
>Batman
Extremely fun just for how over the top and insane it goes leaning into rule of cool.
>Superman
Has some good moments but it's hot or miss a lot, definitely the weakest out of the main trio's books
>MM
Not the biggest MM reader but his absolute book has been great every issue and has been actively making me more and more interested in J'onn outside of the Justice League.
>Absolute Flash
Still early days but so far it seems good
>Absolute GL
It's shit, honestly the only real dud out of the lot by a measurable amount

It's selling so evidently somebody likes it.
I don't really care. All the series are just elseworlds to me, and not particularly enticing ones. I don't see any cohesion between them either, so it doesn't feel much like a "universe" to me, more like five titles that have nothing to do with each other.

The highlight is A.Batman and I find it kind of silly. It's some funny thing Snyder cooked up, funny things happen in it like Bane being 20 feet tall and Bruce making grenades out of his own poop. I don't think the story goes anywhere at all.

I'll be ignoring the Absolute "Universe" unless they introduce something that actually connects with me (outlook not so good).

I wouldn't say decades because her Rebirth run with Rucka is good, not the best ever but definitely a high point between 80s Perez and now.

You all get mad at overexposure of Batman, and yet continue to only read and praise his comics. Do you even realize that you are the problem?
