I guess the geist of the 80s and 90s came and went, I'm not being sarcastic. The vibe during those eras, and even a little before them, was equal parts curiosity and fear where technology would go, hence all the neuromancer, Robocop, Terminator stuff.
But now people just aren't that interested despite the push for automation, drones, surveillance and AI becoming more relevant than before.

You think it's a Jaws, public opinion kind of thing? Like now that all this stuff is so much more "real" and likely that there might be someone going we can't have people afraid of getting these brain chips or showing the dangers of robots in your homes.

I just want more sci-fi comics in general. I fucking love superheroes but it would be nice if we got more pure sci-fi shit. There's a lot of potential there that's just never really been taken advantage of. Wish we still got stuff like EC Comics' sci-fi anthology series.
