Even if it does have crappy endings or a boring premise. He feels like he's actually making shit with a team of artists instead of just pandering like Owl House or just letting your artist team run wild like Steven Universe. Those are two examples of showrunners with probably good ideas who don't know how to function within an industry pipeline, unlike Genndy.
Say what you want about Hotel Transylvania, but he's probably the only reason those movies are watchable.
