>>149501988Personally, it would be cool if Dragonball and Gundam made the lineup, but a couple issues could complicate things aside from licensing either anime.
In 0079 Gundam's case, despite it being a 70's anime, it got dubbed MUCH later compared to other 'boomer' anime like Astro Boy, Gigantor, Speed Racer, Marine Boy, Star Blazers, and Gatchaman as well as 'Gen X' anime like Voltron, Robotech, and Dragonball. Those running MeTV Toons might hold that against 0079 Gundam, especially since it didn't benefit from the same 80's and 90's nostalgia factor in America as the boomer shows, theater shorts, and other 80's and 90's shows.
In Dragonball's case, even though 80's and 90's shows are on the lineup, how would MeTV Toons handle Dragonball itself? Would it skip over the Pilaf/Tournament 1/Red Ribbon Army/Tournament 2/King Piccolo/Tournament 3 sagas just to get to the Saiyan saga similar to what Funimation pretty much did in the 90's? Would MeTV Toons just license the censored dub with replacement music for nostalgia and call it a day? Personally, I'd rather watch DB with its original music and without the goofy censorship, but MeTV Toons probably couldn't get away with an uncensored DBZ the way Telemundo did.
