What are your general thoughts on the Silver Age of comics, specifically DC shit like Batman and Superman? Do you like the goofy, lighthearted nature?

the idea of fun whimsical comics is nice, but most of these are a slog to get through.

Superman managed to be much better about it than batman
He did the transition to sci-fi pretty well, with braniac being iconic enough to literally enter the english language

Batman was kinda awful, fighting aliens was not his strong suit
The adam west show did it well, but it was a rather explicit parody

Silver Age Superman and adjacent characters are a lot of fun, there's always some secret identity shenanigans or weird transformations or time travel, and the Superman mythos was at its most rich during that period.

Silver Age Flash is full of really out there sci fi concepts and his rogue gallery fills out pretty quickly to become one of the best in comics.

I like Legion of Superheroes and when Carmine Infantino takes over Batman.

It's a tossup. The writing is usually horrendous but I like the goofy shit and all the little details they put in.
