Meanwhile Kurt visits that woman whose daughter he saved back in Issue #6, who has been working behind the scenes to make New Orleans a "mutant friendship city".

Previously, Storm had to deal with an ambush of a group of storm gods from different pantheons and the FBI for having helped Xavier out in X-Manhunt, while Eternity gave her a glimpse of what her future daughter will look like and when she will be born (but no clue on who the father of the child is) in the Hellfire Vigil. This time we're dealing with act 1 of "Thunder War" - a storm god civil war caused by the coming of Hadad, the first storm god.

For those who haven't read that (or at least glossed over it, like I did), that arc ended with that the main villain of the story would one day come and attack Earth. So it seems like he might use this ongoing to finish that loose plotline here (although he also revealed that when this guy would get to Earth, Wakanda would be decimated and Shuri would die trying to stop him when he referenced it last time in a Marvel Voices special, so let's see if that actually does happen or if editorial puts the foot down on that).
However, that arc was absolutely not recent, it was published at the same time as Judgment Day was.

Last issue Jean was only in like 3 pages, but that was because the entire issue was instead focused on her sister Sarah, revealing what happened to her following her last appearance in X-Factor and how she died. However, she knows has no idea how she came back from the dead nor how she got to the planet Elarunn-7 and created Greyhaven. Cable on the other hand does, but he seems to know much more about her as he immediately blasted her once he arrived!

You know I actually joked about that part that her breaking reality brought back Sarah, but turns out it was actually the case. Huh.
