I remember back in the day the unanimous consensus on /co/ was that Brainiac was better as a robot, I'm happy that turned around. Personally my favorite concept is that Vril Dox is a Coluan and he's "Brainiac 1" then upon his death his consciousness is uploaded to an android we call "Brainiac 2"

I like him as being some sort of mix between organic and inorganic parts, to the point where it's hard to tell what's biological and what's mechanical.

That said, Pre-Crisis Bronze Age 'Terminator' Brainiac is one of my favorite versions. Such a cool design that was.

You could make that version one of Braniac’s heralds, or the template for his droid army. Or you could go the horror route, and reveal that Braniac has had so many augmentations, that if you strip him of his synthetic flesh, he’s just a brain operating a robot. Would be a sick reveal

Yeah, they should use this design a lot more, or something like it.

I like the idea that this could be one of his bodies he's got lying around, one where he's more powerful and durable, to check especially powerful characters like Superman.

I do like the idea that it's the body he ends up using after exchanging all his biological organs for machinery. That's always a cool, creepy trope.
