>>149518621Didn't Jester get killed in Superior Spider-Man over a decade ago now?
>>149518968he didn't get killed, just brutally beaten but he did get killed in Civil War 2 but that was Bendis shit so who cares and was back like nothing with no explanation in Spider-men 2 #2....also written by Bendis
>>149518750Told you guys it'd be back
>>149518687When this book ends, I hope we can have a 6 issue mini with 8-ball and Frogman making a team book.
>>149518737Oh shit, he switched founts. He knows he's FUCKED.
>>149518759Fuck yes. I honestly hope he stays as Mark's new nemesis. Don't get me wrong, Bushman has the history, but man, Zodiac works so much better.
>>149518779Wait, is this going to be the longest MK run we've had?
>>149519061bendis fixing one of his mistake then
>>149519313It's already that
Marc Spector Moon Knight from the 90s, is the longest-running book that wasn't interrupted but changed creative teams a lot of the time.
Mackay has written a full 50 issues of Moon Knight at this point.
>>149518603Man I might be retarded. I saw this page and my first thought was "why the fuck is Tigra a cloud?"
>>149518630If there's one thing I love this comic for, it's for making me appreciate 8-Ball.
>>149518638Fuck's going on with Tigra's tail here?
>>149519538She's excited so it's bigger
>>149518597 (OP)> Zodiac kinoBut what is this release schedule? Is Moon Knight only coming out once a month?
It's also crazy to me that Pramanik and Rosenberg have been onboard for the whole run so far. Rarely do you see good artists stick around to finish out a run. Fingers crossed they actually do.
>>1495186308-Ball is my new favorite character is all of comics.
>>149518741Fucking 8-Ball and Soldier
>runs away like a pussy at the first sign of genuine danger
Fairchild is kinda bitchmade for an Asgardian.
>>149520179Well yeah, he's a peasant with delusions of grandeur, not a warrior. The only reason he was acting like big shit is his Asgarian body makes him pretty much invincible against regular humans.
>>149518741Cubist be like 'nope, this crew already crazy af tf imma gonna do?''
>>149519329It's not fixing anything, Bendis never paid attention to continuity and by the end of his Marvel tenure that included his own.
>>149520623Never pay henchmen up front.
So he had a talking house? I guess I missed a bunch of stuff
>>149519083The Mission was just so pissed off that it just ate him with no further explanation. This makes me unbelievably happy for some reason
Well
>>149519283 the reason why Zodiac works better is because he's a villain specifically for Moon Knight. Bushman was a villain specifically for Marc Spector. Moon Knight actually does have his own rogue gallery but like MacKay has pointed out in the run, they have a tendency to die. Black Spectre is just a cursed villain mantle, literally all three have died and MacKay even had Zodiac kill Morpheus
>>149522056Technically Zodiac has been around for a while before crossing path with MK
>>149522380Holy shit you're right, he was introduced back during Dark Reign and then just never really used after that. MacKay truly is the goat at finding obscure characters and making them shine
>>149522647Yeah, he may as well ust be an OC.
>>149523034Honestly, I welcome it.
Zodiac is a generic Ledger Joker wannabe, one of many that popped up after TDK, ranting on about muh anarchy muh chaos and manipulating everybody. So basically he simultaneously has a distinct personality and yet shallow enough for other writers to mold him into something more interesting than that.
>>149518638Tigra got bitten by a radioactive Marsupilami
>>149522056>literally all three have diedI think the second one is still alive
>>149523533He got blown up, twice in a row in back to back issues in fact. Sure it was off screen but unless MacKay or some writer says otherwise, he's quite dead
>>149519283What about Black Spectre?
>>149523134I kinda like how generic it is because its this far meant he's had to stand out by doubling down and being as ludicrous as possible. Like you could not have a more generic idea of a schemy villain than a psycho anarchist who calls himself Zodiac in a black sack hood and a mask but he just pushes the idea so hard and is clearly having so much fun with it that it becomes standout on its own because the guy kinda just becomes a malicious borderline Looney Tune figure and it works.
>>149520179>>149520205Big fish, small pond. I do hope Thor eventually gets him
>>149518648Like the art.
It has nothing on Smallwood, but still pretty good.
>>149519597we had a fill in during the pym help issues
>>149518715>>149518638Tigra's tail is wild in this issue.
>>149522056>The Mission was just so pissed off that it just ate him with no further explanation. This makes me unbelievably happy for some reasonActually, it cuts from Achilles getting ate to Zodiac and Zodiac made some kind of deal with the Mission at the end of the first series saying that they wanted the same thing. So I think the Mission is working with Zodiac now, otherwise I assume it woud have revealed itself to Marc.
>>149525456The deal they made at the end of the first series was when both realized that Black Spectre was going to kill Moon Knight and that it would actually stick. The Mission wanted to kill Black Spectre for taking away the only person to consider it a home while Zodiac wanted to torture and kill him for taking away his favorite toy. It's pretty in character for the Mission to go behind Marc's back to eat someone it personally despises
>>149520179Tbf a lot of Asgardian bluster is knowing that even if they die they'll go to Valhalla if they die a good death in battle
So a soul eating sword is their worst fucking nightmare
That wouldn't make a dent to Volstagg's massive chub but Cloki Jabroki would probably shit himself
>>149518630I thought the joke would be that they were regular billiard balls that did nothing special.
>>149529054jet propulsion engineer man
I just realized that the Mission is basically a stray dog that Moon Knight picked up and gave a home and it absolutely loves the ever living crap out of him for actually caring for something like it. It's like this giant dog that sits quietly in the corner never bothering to interact with anyone until someone it doesn't like comes in which at that point it gets up and protects MK. Sometimes it ends up mauling the invader but MK is a terrible influence and often times encourages it...
>>149518597 (OP)>250th issue!I call that into question. Also fuck this constant renumbering bullshit.
>>149518691ah! Competent, sane, practically-minded supervillains!
I love them especially when they are well mixed with psychos and general costumed villains
>>149529671on this note... I think I missed the origin of Mission.
tl;dr?
>>149535236It's an obscure villain from the Silver Age Dr Strange comics that Mackay brought back, called House of Shadows. It's only had one or two appearances before Mackay's Moon Knight, so there isn't much backstory
>https://marvel.fandom.com/wiki/House_of_Shadows_(Earth-616)
>>149518691I kinda want MacKay to dig more into Cubist and the Hellbent.
>>149536409He might if he's allowed to write for another 50 issues honestly
>>149520607Only Moon Knight will do that
>>149518759I wonder if the Zodiac Cartel is going to make a return. They were kinda just there to get rolled by a bunch of undead MK's but there were some neat mook designs mixed in.
>>149523034I always say, the 2nd writer to take up a character is the most important one and cements the legacy.
Just look at what happened to Ms Marvel.
