Fuck it, overall thoughts,
It was decent, and definetively the best FF film we've gotten. There's some pacing issues and the villains feel wasted, but it knows it's main focus is developing the family dynamic. Each character is pretty well translated from the page and you buy them as a family, and all the actors do a good job. I also liked how more "sci-fi" it felt compared to the average cbm.
Nothing extraordinary, but well made, and yeah you'll specially like it if you're an FF fan.

Probably a 6-7/10, a more firm rating would depend on second watching.

Yeah. They didn't make it as just another MCU movie. It's unapologetically a work of reverence. It feels straight out of the pages of a Lee-Kirby issue of tbe FF. And loved the dedication to Jack at the end with his quote.

This one's as close as I've seen a movie get to the Raimi Spidey movies. If you know the FF it's incredibly enjoyable. I don't care about MCU slop these days and I almost don't even wanna see these characters interact with the rest of the MCU, specially at its current state. They're perfect as is. Would love for a sequel featuring Doom but whatever.

Pretty much felt the same. My interest came from being an FF fan, not for it being attached to the MCU. Another stong point is that it's one of the most standalone films in the franchise; there's really nothing you have to see prior, and stands completely on his own. Once they inevitably fold the characters into the main timeline it'll probably be a bummer since a lot of the charm of the film comes from it's retrofuture setting.

About Reed's autism, I really liked how they didn't shy away from it. While never outright stated, it's more than obvious that's what they went for. Him saying to Franklin how he wishes he won't be like his father since he believes to be something wrong with him really got me.

He straight up only thinks with logic and reasoning and doesn't consider other factors most of the time like emotions. It was a nice touch how he also lies about it and Sue sees straight through it every time.

During the final act, the FF lead the construction of several teleporting devices around the planet, but the energy intake is so large that the entire world has to shut down to save energy. Ben's shave gets halted during one of the shut downs, and Johnny says the beard>>149527444

Besides Deadpool and Dr. Strange, what other movies deal with the multiverse as a main issue? The Marvels was a team up movie more focused on space than multiverse and the whole thing with Monica was a post credit scene, same with Thunderbolts. Eternals, Black Panther 2, GotG 3, Thor: L&T and Captain Falcon were not multiverse related.

But people went to see NWH and Deadpool/Wolverine because the crossovers. If they were multiverse plots without that draw (like it would have been in F4), then it would just be an eye roll.

He puts up a good fight, and It's only really challenged once Sue goes full Momma bear. Even then he manages to get out of the teleporter, and is only defeated when SS betrays him. Wheater he survives or not is left ambiguous.

The film visualizes the power cosmic as if he can fucking scan reality with his eyes. It's kind of confusing, but he also handwaves directly into Sue's womb sending her straight into labor while she was fine before, so I took it that he literally warped reality to accelerate Franklin's birth. There's also a bit of telekinisis.

I understand they have to nerf Galactus but seeing him fire cosmic bolts, transmuting matter, or teleporting should have been done. The limiter could have been "He exerts himself each time he uses his power, and he needs to feed. So he's carefully choosing what to do"

Does my boy the Thing talk about his sweet Aunt Petunia? Does he actually say its clobberin time or do they just make fun of it like in the trailers? Is he called the everlovin blue eyed Thing? Does he beef with the Yancy Street Gang? How good is my boy treated?

Your choices are a man literally named DICK RIDER or a teen character that isn't really popular to start with but also would have to fight an uphill battle since all these various teen heroes are being hard rejected by fans.

It wouldn't stop the endless clickbait article associating the character with his actual name. Its just bad press. Nova isn't ever going to hit the MCU or mainstream.
