based coomer animators
they don't draw 'em like they used to
>>149531340 (OP)They do though. Just not in Hollywood movies.
>>149531340 (OP)They do, dummy.
They just aren't allowed to have a job in the industry.
>>149532422You said that with a little too much confidence, anon.
>>149531524Nah, no one minds. Like, the fucking Peepoodo guy has worked for Netflix, Marvel and DC

>MOOOOO!!!>dodo do do doo
>>149534123Yes, but I need their specialties making it into MAINSTREAM animated features again. Something like El Dorado would be incredibly difficult to make happen in today's climate. We hardly ever get adult protagonists as is
>>149535376But does it actually get the stins off my clothes?
Never forget what was taken from you
Road to El Dorado >>> Prince of Egypt
>>149539311You can tell the animators had a lot of fun with this project
>>149531340 (OP)There's a very strange and prolific wave of prudish tendencies in the social zeitgeist these days.

>>149531357>>149531524>>149532422Animators that want to draw hot chicks work in the industry. They're just not allowed to draw said hot chicks.
>>149531357>>149531524>>149531340 (OP)Crunchyroll put out Onyx Equinox in 2020. Hot brown Mesoamerican girls and fem-boys. But the series just died after one season and all the mysteries were left unanswered.
You really can't recreate Chel's movements in 3D, and no animation studio really draws women move like Chel anymore.
>>149543298They're two of the last hand-drawn Dreamworks films, so the comparison isn't too random.
>>149531340 (OP)It's not incentivized when corporate mandates things be as safe and palatable as possible for the masses
>>149545695Coco Diablo certainly was hot and well animated. But I forgot all about her, while no one could forget Chel. She was "just another Scooby Doo side character."
>>149545673Should have posted the other girl
>>149544763They're like 12 to 18 IIRC
So mostly, yes, but when has that stopped coomers on 4chan?
>>149531524she looks like she got a bbl or ass implants in this animation

>>149531340 (OP)>>149531524If they made a character like this today you would complain that she's a Latina girlboss who dupes the lead male characters and gets away with it. Dont go around saying "its not like it used to" when you hate this type of character.
Prince of Egypt did nothing for me. Too simplistic and linear of a storyline, plus Moses is a very basic protagonist.
>>149553140I think the problem is that it's an animated grounded adventure movie. Those never do well. People who are into adventure watch live action adventure and kids who are into cartoons want wackier and more fantastical stuff. It's just a guess, but Road to El Dorado, Atlantis and Treasure Planet are all this, are all good and all have done poorly. I guess the only people who really like this sort of stuff are people who are into animation and would prefer all genres they like to be animated regardless of whether they are easily suited for live action or not.
>>149553361The problem with bible stories is that you can't just take the myth and then improve it or build upon it, it's dogma, so it has to stay the same. That's why stuff that's just inspired by some mythological story is much better.
>>149553140Nobody remembered the Road to... movies from the 1940s-1960s
>Miguel, you know that little voice people have that tells them to quit when they're ahead? You don't have one!
>The stars are not in position for this tribute!
>Like he says. Stars... Can't do it... Not today
>>149535779Why do you want it mainstream though?
>>149554060If real life girls looked half as sexy as Chel falling down, I'd be pushing every woman I meet.
>>149554303Just a goofy angle. The face is alright.
>You fight like my sister
>I fought your sister. That's a compliment
>A boat?
>Yeah
>Um, we really hate to be ascending so soon, but, uh, some urgent business has come up, you know, family matters, you know, and it's just a bit...
>Yeah, family.
>Badda-bing, budda-boom, you know what I mean
>Oh, we expected you to be staying with us for the next thousand years
>Well, as we say in the spirit world, there's your plan and then there's the gods' plan. And our plan calls for a boat, 'cause we're gonna ascend kind of in a horizontal pattern at first. And then we're gonna go vertical, as we get further out to sea
Chel is an animated treasure and makes this movie watchable just on her own, even though Tulio and Miguel are great too.
I wish the other 2D DreamWorks movies were as entertaining as this one
Chel looks like she gives rimjobs to little boys
>>149554657Miguel was right, they should have called it Cheldorado.
Road to El Dorado sank quickly after a few weeks

Reminder that Prince of Egypt wasn't as successful as they expected. In its first 3 weeks, the movie got overshadowed by stuff like You've Got Mail, Stepmom, and Patch Adams.
>>149531340 (OP)>>149531524Same guy that animated this worked on the Daffy movie
