Find it also stupid that they still have to finish the plot of Aaravos and the star council yet they add even more side plots to the story, haven't they learned nothing from the fumble of the side plot of the Sunfire elf's?
Also they have said in one of the Q&A that they are thinking about showing why Ezran can talk to animals since they know fans want to see it, which makes me think that, like I suspected, they never had any idea or plan on how to explain this and are just now trying too see if they can find an explanation to include in the show

By the way if you haven't noticed but in their Kickstarter they have included some positive reviews that they received for the dragon prince and they all are from 2018, they couldn't even find one positive for arc 2

Also too many characters and outright mishandling of other characters. Like the entire thing with Aaravos and the Arch dragons was a total clown show. Absolutely no payoff on any of those characters because the writers genuinely had no idea what to do with such powerful and inhuman individuals.

Zubeia has to be one of the most ridiculous characters if you actually look at how the show handled her. Every season there was basically a new thing to stop her from being able to do anything up until she was killed.

Plenty of reasons. The constant thing where humanity has to turn the other cheek (just check how everything went with Callum having to bend over backwards for Rayla), the childish politics (I blame the boy king and how they just couldn't fucking drop him despite how annoying he is), the fact that the setting never felt like it was designed while keeping in mind people have magic, the whole Dark Magic shitshow in general really.
Not to mention that fucking timeskip that made Rayla into a cunt that the writer responsible for it seemed to not anticipate at all.
The only thing the show had were the characters, because politics and worldbuilding and even the magic itself sure as shit wasn't interesting, and they ruined that.
