He looks dumb in the comics too. Same as all cosmic villains. It's because by the time things had power crept enough to make cosmic threats all the good designs had been used up on Earth villains.

Its fine since they leaned into it by making the whole movie 60s themed, they can therefor do 60s concepts straight faced.

I hate to be "that guy" but imho they made him extra vindictive and petty because in Kirby's original rendition he is basically a stand in for God and modern Hollywood hates God in any way and will always make him dumb/evil and vindictive whereas in Kirby's portrayal its a respectable sort of ominous force of nature that is clearly extremely wise and curious, respects intellect. Only future authors dumbed down his prose and character somewhat because he kept being reused so many times if anything

i don't care if it's ironic or not, anyone who says this needs to get hung and have their eyeballs split open. do i like the mcu? no. do i think galactus could look better? obviously. but the mere fact that an earnest attempt was made to make him look like the actual comic galactus is a positive and inherently makes him better than a "galactus" from a comic book movie too ashamed to lean into comic book elements for the sake of "realism". only normalfaggots will defend the cloud look. don't be a normalfaggot

Ryan George explained in some video how studios basically auction to studios who wants to do what at what price, studios then low ball the price and time to seem convincingly affordable and competent so they'll get hired at all, but then a lot have to crunch on whatever task they're expected. And if significant changes are needed after the fact, oh that's real trouble.

Byrne is a hack writer.
Galactus' "point" is that he's a starving cosmic giant. The only other "point" that wasn't entirely retarded was when he was devouring unhatched Celestials in Earth X.

Yes it does, he isnt a baffoon who stretches reed like an action figure. I also referenced that image which you selectively ignored to respond to the bit of text that triggered you as you will now continue to do because you dont like the premise im presenting.

I think so, we are currently in the 7th "cosmos" in marvel lore. Galactus was the only guy to survive the 5th Cosmos, the majority of marvel timeline takes place in the 6th. Galactus was some tech genius who gained mystical powers and him and the Elders of the Universe are the only survivors.

Generally Galactus is totally dismissive of beings that aren't on his level, of which there are a dozen or so, and the Celestials.
Everyone else is a pesky gnat.

It was Byrne who went up his own ass with Galactus, not Kirby.

Galactus isn't some level 13 intellect, anymore than Unicron. More often than not Reed has solved Galactus' various dilemma. He's a titanic, mighty and hungry immortal space giant.
He's not some pan-dimensional super-intellect.

Until Byrne started getting flaky with him, he was more or less a hungry giant with a spacecraft and a pet.

>I don't understand why a movie where white men are depicted as physically weak while every female character is depicted as super powerful and strong is woke
Anon there hasn't been a sinlge superhero, fatansy or scifi movie in over ten years where white male characters are actually depicted as the actual heroes of the story. It always comes down with them failing so that a girlboss can rescue them and beat them up. Meanwhile female heroes never get defeated or rescued by white men.
Also funny how you skipped over SS being a woman now who no suprise overpowers HT to have a girlboss moment as well.
You guys are really deilusional.
You probably still think russian hacking the elction is why Trump won as well.

or maybe silver surfer beat out johnny because silver surfer's a herald of galactus meaning she's supposed to be powerful? and shouldn't the villains be able to overpower the hero at certain points anyway to create stakes? i know you're being disingenuous, but at least try to come up with better bait. the antagonist beating the hero to create stakes and tension is pretty common. if the hero beat the villain first try, then there'd be nothing for the hero to work towards
