a supersuit is very redundant when you’re naturally superfast, superstrong and can fly. I agree he seems like he needs it since they never let him fight anymore since Unleashed. Dang really? I thought only Sonic and Knucks were strong enough to do that. I've only been watching a few pieces of Sonic media but I know it's a 30+ year franchise. Maybe he could use it to tank projectiles from the Eggbots but maybe that's about it.

No way, Tails has been spindashing giant robots since before Knuckles existed. He has his own move the Tailswipe which is stronger than a spindash or knuckles in every game it’s used. He didn’t start fighting from a mech until SA2. In his Gamegear game he can even kill enemies by punching them with his hands.
Some sidemedia like sonic x or archie comics make him a pathetic baby who can’t fight and sometimes isn’t even smart, but those always do that so they can push him to the sideline and make it only about sonic.
