Will manga ever catch up?
>>149553836 (OP)>2012Well things have really changed since then.
Manga is just a "Latest fad".
Like the internet, and cell phones, they won't be around by next year.
Now excuse my while I mix myself a Whiskey Sour to shield myself from Alimony payments.
I don't get it, who's Manga? is some sort of chinese superhero?
>>149553836 (OP)>2012kids were already reading Jump instead of comics by then and that's around the time DC fucked everything up with New 52 and Marvel was focusing on roping people into MCU instead of comics to make big bucks fasterer
>>149553836 (OP)I think they're is quite a few political and satirical Manga's in Japanese newspapers and magazines not sure if they've existed over the years or are real.
>>149553836 (OP)Fraid not. There are some good ones, don't get me wrong, but a lotta stinkers like rent-a-gal.
>>149554368>JumpKids can listen to Van Halen AND read comics anon.
>>149554537>There are some good ones, don't get me wrong, but a lotta stinkersThis applies to western comics even worse. Especially with how many capeshit pollutes the medium.
>>149553878>>149554368I don't think you guys understand the point of Kelly.
>>149554537>>149554368We already had 2010 threads about Bleach outselling the whole comic industry. Search the thread in the archives.
>>149553878It has already changed. That's the joke.
>>149554574we already know Kelly's a shitposter so dunking on OP for being a genuine retard is just a bonus
>>149553878>>149554368Literally the entire joke is that Kelly's an out of touch old man making the most hamfisted political comics possible, fucking newfags Jesus Christ

I agree on the sentiment.
Can a series survive out of its local set of circumstances? A lot of the battle shounen clearly did.
But there is a lot more auteur stuff like Wombs and Mother Sarah that also do. Or when you get self biographical , like Azuma and his disappearance diary.
I also love how a boomer cartoonist who is completely out of touch, manage to occasionally really hit homeruns.
Anon...I need you to hold my hand when I tell you this.
>>149554597>We already had 2010 threads about Bleach outselling the whole comic industryI'm sure detergent did as well, retard. What's next are we going to compare bacon and oil prices?
>>149554778Comic books made after the end of the 90s are basically only useful as toilet paper so it's not weird to compare 2 products that are used to clean stuff.
Oh, Japan 'caught' up alright. China and Worst Korea are taking up all their markets while they're are stuck doing their best San Francisco derangement impression.
