This feels reinforced by how they forced a dislike of Trump past what would make sense and portraying it in a really meh way seems like something Paramount told them to do.
By overdoing the Trump hate but making the whole episode talk about fears of being sued into oblivion by Trump and to actually cater to him actually gives the vibe of it being about the opposite situation.

I dont think The Jesus stuff was that deep, it was just more of a means of getting to understand PC Principal's perspective that his ideology(which honestly was tame compared to some really lefties) got fucking rejected, and he is doubling and tripling down and make sure Jesus gets to do his thing, Jesus himself breaks the 4th wall by saying hes going along with it for the sake of not getting cancelled.
I think the bigger point was how this specific election, unlike Trump's first term, legitimately broke people on both sides.
