>characters you like that will never get a good adaptation
Pic related is destined to be molested by the likes of Kevin Smith and Mark Waid fucking nauseating.

The crossover between him and Batman 66 was also quite pathetic.

It wasn't about the Green Hornet. It was a psuedo reboot with a female Kato

That's why he sucks. Complexity doesn't suit mainstream superheroes.

The Shadow's pretty much screwed when it comes towards any future adaptations

>Conde Nast is full of morons who have done nothing but sit on the rights and block others from using the IP outside of comics
>the movie got the atmosphere right but bungled the character
>most people don't know he inspired Batman and only old people watched the radio show
>he's entering the public domain soon which means people will make bad horror movies of him
>characters inspired by him (Rorschach, V, Moon Knight, Carmen Sandiego, Cybersix, etc) have been changed significantly in adaptations to the point any clear influence has been removed or diluted

Best case scenario is people comparing him to the Benadryl Hat Man and he becomes a creepypasta/ARG/analog horror character.

I wish heroes could return to wearing trenchcoats.
