Jimenez by a lot, although his art is not the same quality as before it still holds to this day while Mora cant even draw a different face in females since the very beginning. To be fair both get carried a lot by their colorist I must admit Morey is kinda losing to whoever Moras colorist is

All you need to do is look at line art to be proven wrong. I do agree that colorist should be credited more than they are - it tends to often be PENCILER/INKER and never "P/I + colorist" when people are talking about credits on covers, particularly variant covers, or interior work.

That said, people who do it all, who often tend to get credited as "art by so-and-so" also don't get enough credit for doing finished line art as well as digital color.

Mora is a solid designer but his compositions are boring as hell. He's fast because he has a very set way of drawing everything. Never seems to experiment with dynamic forshortening or crazy angles or panels. When he does attempt it feels kinda bland compared to the heights other artists can pull it off.
Jiminez' linework is messier but he can pull off better dynamics.
I stand by the fact that both of them would probably be solid B listers at best in the past, not A-list as they are now. They just don't feel ground breaking.

I’d actually say the two of them are awful designers, full stop. Just absolutely atrocious. Most of the Spaniard and Italian artists (chechetto and cappuccio come to mind) are awful designers, ironically because Europeans are known for style and design.

Jimenez is the better artist of them though, better than the two Italians I named too.

I had a complete idiot moment and meant "draftsman" and not designers. You'd be right in that their character/costume designs are pretty mediocre. Remember when Jiminez made THIS? But when it comes to just plain drawing a character both are fine.
I would say Mora would be well suited to designing model sheets for an animated series, though.

That being said kris anka is one of the worst designers I’ve ever seen and he gets major gigs which baffles me. He’d do a better job than that puffy homo.
