>>149561482Work at Paramount. They lied at the panel. The trailer was culled from the season worth of episodes Skydance rejected.
They pretty much snuck the banned season premiere on the airwaves with help from people at CC who shared their anti-Trump rhetoric and pretty much refused to answer calls from Paramount that night to kill the feed/rerun.
Their comment about CC wanting the dicks blurred came from private conversations with their CC allies, when they were given a sneak peak of the season's first four episodes around late May. T&M refused to rework the episodes to censor them, nor did they bleep faggot like CC wanted them to.
Also of note:
Paramount got ahold of T&M on Skype Thursday morning by basically having a Paramount exec call Matt's wife and threatening to straight up kill her if she didn't get Matt/Trey on the Skype with them that morning. T&M had to ditch the original plans for the panel (which would have been them gloating at their triumph and using it to white knight Colbert/demand he get his job back) because Paramount stated point blank, they would pretty much take South Park off the air indefinitely and damn the PR hit, if they didn't apologize for the episode. Which led to T&M giving a half-assed "sorry not sorry" fake apology at the panel and having to drop all of the Colbert ball washing planned. As well as forcing them to publicly "promise" no more politics this season.
Also for a fun fact, T&M pretty much are fucked as Skydance had to be begged by Sherri Redstone to not back out of the deal at the last minute because of their insurrection. So they are now stuck for five years with a new business daddy that has pledged to make their lives living hell now as far as knowing that they can never be trusted. Meaning, if they try and slip onto the air any of the other banned episodes, they are fucked. And that expect a big purge of CC employees soon since Skydance knows that they are actively conspiring against their new bosses.
