But lesson one for any cartoon, make a good design for main hero. That will assure you'll get any kind of legacy.

Take Robotboy. If anyone remembers this show it's because Roby looks cute in smol form and cool in big form.

All I recall about this show is episode where she got turned into lemur. Or when monster mistook her for her baby and gave her tongue bath.

I'd say its still pretty common, though its true being Asian/asian immigrant is more of a side characterization than core theming anymore. Asians (except for Indians) are regarded as the quintessential american model minority, especially 2nd or 3rd generation Asian americans.

Also as a kid when this came out I just thought CN was copying American Dragon from Disney since they both came out around the same time.
As an adult now I realize that isn't the case cause there is no way they can make a copy cat animated show that fast. But it's really weird two shows so similar came out at the same time.
I had to look it up but they both came out 2005, 20 years ago. Time flies.

Totally forgot she has an older brother. Just only remember the younger brother. I had no idea who that girl was. Had to look her up, seems she' Lila and she was a new main cast member they added in the series just around the end of the last season so she only showed up in 4 episodes.

These are fun. No world-ending storyline, no bad repercussions, just a comedy fight scene for no reason. Juniper gets slapped around a lot compared to main characters in other series.

I saw an episode when it was on the Boomerang streaming service, but didn't think it was that great. Pretty average, really.
