Solo alternate reality stories have a perception of not mattering, Earth 65 would need to be it's own line of books to sustain itself like Absolute or Ultimate.
There are no key issues set in Earth-65 other than Edge of Spider-Verse #2. Spider-Gwen's creator was given free reign to build her up and did a really bad job at world building so no one cares about Earth-65.
And it's not Gwen, the fictional character, wants to leave it's that Marvel wants to continue to sell Gwen books, but writers and editors don't want to keep track of her terrible continuity and poison the well for their other alternate reality lines of books.

626 is like living to that nice vacation town and starting fresh.

616 is the only universe where things are guaranteed to end up mostly okay. It might end or some bad guy might take it over, but it'll last just for a little bit and then you can go back to living your life. Anywhere else can be revisited (read: destroyed) by a later writer.
