Idk, maybe I'm just frustrated about the fact that the show gets coddled too much and this is my way of manifesting it. The latest Trump stuff isn't all that funny. I mean, Saddam Trump did get a chuckle out of me but beyond it's just run of the mill Nu Park. But because of American sports team politics, it's now the third highest rated South Park episode of all time. I'm sure this will go to Matt and Trey's heads. I just wish there was a loud enough voice calling South Park out. Say what you want about Simpsons, Family Guy etc. at least their fans acknowledge that those shows are way past their golden age. South Park fans praise every new output as if it's fucking holy water.

Honestly, I just wish they would drop the "melodrama character development" schtick altogether. Maybe I come across as immature for saying this, but I think I might be starting to hate the idea of character development. People talk about politics because there's a line to be crossed between funny and butthurt. It's the same with the Drumpf episodes of family guy. The issue is that I want funny jokes and I get a butthurt lecture. As opposed to the Clinton episode or the American Dad Bush episode. There is a political figure being laughed at. A democrat is being shown in a better light than his republican counterpart. I should be mad if I'm right wing but I'm not because they are both endearing and funny characters, we never cross that line except maybe with a single line in Clinton's case.
