Do you think /a/ would accept it?
On one hand it IS drawn by a legit Japanese artist
On the other hand
>Color
>Western publisher
>Read left to right
This is unexpected but at the same time not so much. Japan loves potty humor.
>>149659572This isn't published in Japan
I could have seen it be in Corocoro but the way it's meant to be read already sunk that hunch
Looks better than the abominable 3D designs
>>149659470 (OP)I was already getting too old for the original books, when they came out; do they expect 30-year-olds to gobble this up, as well?
>>149659470 (OP)When I saw this post for a sec I thought that Captain Underpants got a TV adaption where he was beanmouthed thank fucking god I was wrong.
>Flip-O-Rama is kept

>>149659470 (OP)Good on Pilkey. I'll always celebrate another win for him.
>>149659558Color and left-to-right would be fine on their own, but both together makes this more of a graphic novel than a manga. Also why include sfx in japanese even though 99.99% of the target audience (american middle and elementary schoolers) won't be able to read them?

thread should be deleted or moved to >>>/a/
fuck anime
This doesn't surprise me because Scholastic recently just got into publishing manga. And not "manga" like they got some westerners to make something manga-like, but actual manga they had to translate and came from Japan
I had to double take in store to make sure I was reading the distributor correctly
