A boy, his parents, and kooky scientist Ralph Fines travel the wilderness of Britain and do battle against the tribes of the infected and the Jimmy gang. I mean, that ending was already something out of a cartoon.

Started off as a game but had a few tie-in comics, so I guess it can count as /co/.

Cartoon version could probably still include the apocalyptic mystic meteor causing the apocalypse the same way the Highlander cartoon did. Primordial dino-gods would have to talk in order connect with kids, but could get away with only being able to directly communicate with a human they've chosen as their avatar to spread their word.

The show could focus around different dino-gods and their tribes of human worshippers forming alliances, dealing with survival in a mystical post-apocalypse Earth, and dealing with villain schemes of the week or some long-running story to defeat a greater evil.

Obviously can't show any humans getting eaten or bloody kaiju battles, but they could still sneak in some action that flies under the scensors.

I don't remember that part of Necrosan's backstory, but I do know he was a space-born entity that came to Earth in the meteor and had devoured other worlds through similar migrations. Kinda like King Ghidorah, which could make for a great big bad in a cartoon for the gods and their tribes to team up against or conspire to join.

Well, Primal Rage 2 was just a prototype. The only characters that had any endings were Saberfang, Necrosan, many of the avatar characters. That bit I dropped was from Necrosan's ending but that was the last part.

The first part was Necrosan takes over the world and used humanity make more Necrosans through the use of parasites. The people would die horrible and painful deaths when the Necrosans reached adulthood.

it's a wacky animated kids comedy show based on the R-rated action/horror (which was also based on The Most Dangerous Game), and this one features a Brian Griffin-esque talking pig named Maurice who will host these dangerous games that will turn into crazy hijinks. Each episode will feature a running gag where the pig's mad scientist will have a tragic backstory a la Doofenshmirtz
