>TMNT 2012 writer claimed to have never watched the 2003 adaptation of the Triceraton arena potion of the space arc.
>The 2012 adaptation "accidentally" created an OC identical to the OC from the 2003 in all but name, down to backstory, current situation, relationship with the main characters and eventual escape
>The 2012 adaptation "coincidentally" also happened to add scenes of the main characters dealing with a hole in the spaceship sucking out all the air, scenes of them in prison bonding with the OC and fighting the monster that was only given a brief cameo in the comic.
>Interestingly enough, the 2012 adaptation has even fewer similarities to the comic, including the omission of various character and specific scenes included in the 2003 adaptation but not the 2012 adaptation.
>In fact, the 2012 adaptation even gets more things just flat out wrong that wouldn't make much sense if the script was based on the comic, like the name and title of the Triceraton leader, which just wouldn't be wrong at all in that case.
Hm... If I didn't know any better, I'd that writer lied for some cred and was in reality more familiar with the previous adaptation that the source material...
In all seriousness, he was almost certainly lying. You could technically do this by accident but it would have to be quite a big accident in that case. What other instances of people obviously lying can you think of?
