Girl Genius has been going on for 23 years and Moloch Von Zinzer remains the best part. What does everyone else think of the longest running webcomic with an acual plot and 3 updates a week.

Good news, Phil is back doing spicy art. I do hope he's going to do characters from the comic, I'm waiting too long to see some Zeetha teethas.

If you see the in-production art from the Patreon, you can see that Phil starts his drawing with the mouth and expression, then the body around it.
Thatโ€™s why they tend to look like muppets and can be sort of melted-looking.

Agatha tries to take the train only for the train to be derailed by a rail bridge being out so they get taken to the train abbey where an evil train gets freed and starts eating the other train, but they trick the train and the train is blown up and turned into a little train while they use the train's science to make a big super train that takes her to Paris.

I like it in theory, but I lost the plot HARD at some point. It got really convoluted.

Also maybe I'm just an idealist, but the whole divine-right-of-kings-style genetic lineages angle never sat well with me.

It's really more that she is a legitiment heir to a prominent city-state.

It's very explicit there is no magic to being Storm King or that a would-be emperor of Europe needs to marry her.
It's just folklore for the rest of the nobility to help smooth over their pretense of seizing power.

The whole Queens thing feels almost certainly tacked on after the fact. The God Queen of England came across way too much like a "Good Dude" compared to how she seemed to be set up, with only a token attempt to show her attempting to subordinate the cast with hot spies.

But then again everyone's favorite Justified Tyrant Klaus is also kinda like that so I suppose it evens out.

Mostly my problem is there's obviously a plot but just as obviously they'll spend years elaborating on this entirely ancillary side area and some crazy adventure there. And it's usually fun and all but then you realize you're STILL waiting for the other shoe with Zeetha and Klaus to drop and it's like "I WANT MY PAYOFF, FOGLIOS!"

I gave up about a year ago. Every time you think you understand what's happening, turns out someone you thought was a friend is actually an Agent of Pure Evil. And vice-versa. Double-crossers, triple-crossers, and I lost count of the level of betrayals.
I suspect the Foglios are just winging it and have no more idea of what happens next than the readers do. Whenever things are slow, just throw in another conspiracy!

Fah! "Kevin and Kell" has updated EVERY SINGLE DAY since 1995. And it makes sense!
