The art sucks but the story is okay, basically X-23 goes around NYC helping various mutant damsels in distress and gets into team ups with various Marvel Superheroes and in between the super heroics Laura lusts after Julian who's still MIA after NYX.
The book could be better, Honey Badger could be a supporting character instead of current damsel in need, Laura could doing something other than being Wolverine 24/7 ect

No, she's not Wolverine and she never will be Wolverine no matter what Marvel does. No one will ever accept her as that. Furthermore, Marvel editorial knows this fact, they're only trying to force it because of their insane antagonism against their own audience. Calling X-23 Wolverine or anything other than X-23 only damages the character of X-23.

House of M ends with No more Mutants, this depowers the X-Men and the teams get shuffled, the New X-Men book lost some of it's cast to this, Winddancer mainly, then Laura joins this group, Laura is also put to work by Cyclops to kill people who attacked the mansion, it's a pretty good place to start if there was any.
