The autism power of Carball was too much for the writers and so they tanked their planned love storyline for Darwin by forcing Carwin to end Carball autism. They however didn’t realize what they did until it was over (and how little it actually mattered) and so they wrote their pessimisms and frustrations onto Carrie, and Gumball being the brunt of that new attitude is a metaphor for the writers thinking that Carballfags deserve the rope.
But that’s just a game theory.
