It was more about Dark Phoenix Saga having defined most of the tropes for a cape comic heroine going bad, and John Byrne and Chris Claremont having very different ideas of what they wanted to do when they were both working on X-Men. This led to Byrne doing two more attempts at having a classic Marvel heroine go bad so he could do it all his way with no Claremont. First on FF he did Sue becoming Malice, then on West Coast Avengers he turned Wanda bad and quit mid-story.

I've said that to my sister plenty of times and it never ends well. Thing is, my sis is even worse. So full of hate while faking being nice. Always playing the victim every time someone calls her out for being the biggest bully in the room. Too bad my uncle's too much of a geek to put her in her place. Just prefers to be neutral even though she blocked him for trying to defend me when she tried to ruin my life forever. Shit family like this is why so many prefer found families instead.
