It's because the entirety of the Pokemon card collecting fanbase is made up of scalpers buying up all the cards they can and selling them on to other scalpers and retards who think that because shit is expensive and "rare" that they're actually valuable and keep trading or buying back forth amongst themselves. I have watched these people wander from store to store buying every pack of cards they can.
