Attack on Titan came out in 2013 and went mainstream. This laid the groundwork for anime to become mainstream in general during the pandemic. It could have capitalized on that shift and zoomers then entered the age where they enjoy teen drama.

Bait and switch is an understatement. Finding out it was going 3D but a completely different 3D from the original poster was just straight dirty. Couldn't find the full pic but the original poster looked like it was going to be on a Pixar movie tier CGI. Everything was so detailed and looked like nothing what we eventually got.

Sure? ZAG was very slow with the merchendising and had let the Chinese move in on the merchandising before the official licensing even started. I think they even had to employ someone to enforce their IP against the Chinese producers.

Ladybug is the potential man of kid shows. I saw girls in my college watching it unironically back when S1 was airing because they thought the love square was entertaining and they liked Chat Noir's lanky boy in leather design. No adults watch it casually anymore and the kids that grew up watching it and are becoming adults and making TikToks and Youtube videos about how the show is squandered potential even though they have positive nostaglia for the early seasons.

From what I heard, they found all the spots were way too hard to animate in a good way that still was cost effective. And I'd say the 3D models were crispy clear.
