Will Pixar do anything to capitalize on the resurgence of Incredibles popularity?

idk which edit they're talking about specifically but people keep making these very basic edits about the murdered NSA heroes, all to the same dumb song. And they get millions of views. I think it's mostly because a lot of people didn't know about the DVD special.

Gamma Jack's DVD Extra interview where he talks about how he has a hard time killing hot villainesses but will still do it if he has to among other things went viral

If they do they're running out of time. Bob's voice actor is in his 80s.

He's so overrated now because of the virality. I wish there was more spotlight on the other Supers like Gazerbeam or Thunderhead.

Never gonna happen but it would be cool if they did something like this. Don't know if there's enough unique story potential though

>it would be cool if they did something like this. Don't know if there's enough unique story potential though
With the recent surgence of popularity the Incredibles has got thanks to nsa tapes. I think there could be potential but much like with any prequel I feel like it can be a double edged sword depending on how they are executed. And with what I remember what Pixar has been delivering with their recent flicks. I don't have that much confidence they would do it right.
Anonymous No.149926054 [Report] >>149927235
The fact that Incredibles 2 wasn't a timeskip with grown-up Violet and Dash and silver fox Helen and old man strength Bob is an amazing missed opportunity. I don't know what Brad Bird was thinking. One of the themes of the first movie is heroism kind of stretching across generations, with true heroism always manifesting and always recognizable versus Syndrome's performative fakery. That special people will always rise to the top as the years go by. The best thing to do in light of this would have been to do a timeskip where the kids are grown up and heroes of their own.

Is Monster's University the only prequel Pixar did? That was pretty mediocre and that was BEFORE their decline. You're right, if it's gonna be shit they just shouldn't touch the NSA files.

I honestly don’t care for the glory day heroes. I mean it’s cool that the people who made the movie want out of their way to put background info on these characters that we never really see on the bonus features. But at the end of the day, 90% of them were jerks.

Third one should really be called "The Incredible Beginning". Incredible SINGULAR. Still a neat concept though, I can see a 60% chance of it working out.

I agree, i don't want all the blanks filled in. I think fans can create more interesting interpretations of the lives and deaths past the heroes than whatever the watered down official version that Pixar will probably create. The not knowing is part of the appeal. Although I wouldn't mad if they wanted to release a short or some other secondary content about them. Maybe Bob has a flashback or something in the 3rd movie or they release a concept artbook.

Forgot to also say this but in the audio Frozone talks about freezing kool-aid and in the uncredibles Emp has him reach for the kool-aid during the police scene. That isn't too much of a coincidence but I still lol'd anyway.

I would argue that Monster University sucked because it completely missed the point of why people liked the first movie. The interaction with the humans and the relationship with Boo was way more engaging than anything monster-world related. But then they go and make an only monster-world movie with no heart at all. Really the dumbest Monsters Inc movie you could make.

Who finished 1 and said “I wonder how Sully became Sully” or “I wonder how Mike and Sully met”. Everyone asked “So what happened with Sully and Boo?” But whatever; I just get mad thinking about that movie.

Never forgive Pixar or Bird for the disaster that Incredibles 2 was. Let Incredibles 3 die a death of total neglect. Im speaking into the void but for the love of god dont let this be another Lion King/Lilo and Stitch remake

and what we got was the incredibles' plot again but with helen as the mc. they literally repeat the "bob trying to adapt to being an actual dad" and "violet trying to pick up a cute boy" plots, it's such a waste of a movie.

No. Isn't Incredibles 3 in development already? How much did the popularity of the first one affect the sequel, I don't think anyone was begging for Jack-Jack funny moments.

The Nsa files on DVD extras got attention. Again. There are threads here that go years back about it and it got attention during The Incredibles 2, too.
>>149930381
The family bits were the parts I enjoyed the most honestly but yes it's mostly retreading old ground except it isn't a montage this time. I remember watching the I2 and thinking Helen would be the main PR for supers with Bob and Lucius later joining and Helen leading the group of newbies. I think what makes it feel so similar to first one are also the changes from Winston Deavor's character as slightly antagonist to good guy, to Nelson to Eveyln and framing her as Helen's Syndrome basically.

I don't think any Pixar sequels are very good. Yes even the toy story ones. I think their old rule of only making stand alone films existed for a reason. Too bad they make a gazillion dollars.
