I didn't like the implication of YM becoming a villain through and through, being attempted by KM and building his own cult.
Would be interesting if the Dark Age was more about Miracleman's reign becoming even more decadent and less in tune with reality, while both normal and super-powered humans get fed up with his bullshit. KM "saves the day". Miracleman gets his powers stripped away for a period of time as his sentence, becoming regular old Michael Moran again, in hopes of snapping him back to reality. YM later decides to balance out the powers of the world. Something between how things used to be before Miracleman's meddling, and during the heydays of his regime. Basically, the world becomes more like what you'd expect from an established comicbook universe, where you have metahumans and cosmic beings sharing reality with more grounded notions similar to our regular life. Finally, he refuses to take any political power whatsoever, but keeps serving humanity when needed, much like an old-fashioned superhero.
It would kinda add up, considering that YM is still a somewhat younger, less jaded character, who's more skeptic towards MM's new status quo, and somewhat more willing to trust in humanity and bring things back to what he perceives to be normal - which let's not forget most of his perception reflects his living experiences inside Gargunza's simulation. At the end of the day, he'll essencially turn that simulation into reality.
