The Sistine Chapel is the best standalone short, while Testimonials/Babblin' Bijou/Potty Emergency/Sir Yaksalot is the strongest overall set.

This also recently turned 30. Without the tie to a primarily comedy-based show, the spinoff had some pretty high stakes and some genuinely serious moments.

No the world aged like milk around the happy optimism of the 90s >hey kids! As long as you get Cs in school you'll get a college degree, an easy job at a tech company typing, and you'll afford a house in a neighborhood with your childhood friends!
We were all so stoked

I was going to say "That one about a kingdom" and then I looked it up and it's the same episode. Something about that one just worked really fucking well.
>>150360478 (OP) >NEWSREEL OF THE STARS >DATELINE: HOLLYWOOD 1930, THE WARNER BROS. STUDIO. >HERE IN THE ANIMATION DEPARTMENT, ANIMATORS WORK TIRELESSLY TO COME UP WITH CARTOON STARS, ULTIMATELY CREATING THREE NEW CHARACTERS: THE WARNER BROTHERS, AND THEIR SISTER DOT! >UNFORTUNATELY, THE WARNER KIDS WERE TOTALLY OUT OF CONTROL. THE TRIO RAN AMOK THROUGHOUT THE STUDIO, UNTIL THEY WERE CAPTURED. >THE WARNERS' FILMS, WHICH MADE ABSOLUTELY NO SENSE, WERE LOCKED AWAY IN THE STUDIO VAULT NEVER TO BE RELEASED. >AS TO THE WARNERS THEMSELVES, WHO MADE EVEN LESS SENSE, THEY WERE LOCKED AWAY IN THE STUDIO WATER TOWER ALSO NEVER TO BE RELEASED. >PUBLICALLY, THE STUDIO HAS DISAVOWED ALL KNOWLEDGE OF THE WARNERS' EXISTENCE TO THIS VERY DAY... WHEN THE WARNERS ESCAPED!
Tiny Toons was funny and all, but this was something else.
>>150363623 >Reboot has the chance to give fans what they've wanted for years, with the number of segments toned down to just what people actually liked or wanted more of. >Jettison every segment but the Warner Bros and Pinky and the Brain >The scant new segments are weird OC shit that feels completely out of place

They shouldnt have "rebooted" Animaniacs. The original creators should have made a new show.
They keep fucking this up. Old recipe, new chefs. New chefs don't like the recipe. People who liked the old recipe don't like the new recipe. New people who dont know the old recipe aren't getting hooked on the new recipe. The only modified variable is the people doing the cooking.

I agree completely. Give her some of her comic personality or use some of the scrapped ideas like her and Slappy having a pseudo mother-daughter thing going on. A reboot's a great excuse to explore those kinds of things, but noooooo just don't invite any of the original writers and hire people that didn't like the original show.

Fun fact, Nu-Animaniacs animation was apparently mostly, if not completely, frame-by-frame. Contrary to popular belief.
So technically it wasn't "tweenshit", it simply had stiff poses and expressions, uninspired linework, and background art that wouldn't be out of place in Brickleberry.

Which ending? The original Animaniacs had four "series finales". >65th Anniversary (Fox Kids) >The orchestra medley (Kids WB) >Star Warners (shared with Pinky & The Brain) >Wakko's Wish (DTV special)

The Pinky and the Brain shorts were good, not great but good
If you like women with hot bodies but goofy faces there were a lot of those
Nora Rita was hot and like the only decent new character
It got some people to watch the original series probably
