I really have been noticing this with modern Christians in regards to the opposite. I understand the whole Creationism thing but why do they always immediately dismiss evolution as soon as they pick up a Bible?
My brother started getting more into Christianity and while it's helped him shape his life better he's also become a giant know-it-all faggot and started doing the same thing. He'll just believe every article nowadays that "debunks" whatever theories we had about evolution or neanderthals or whatever and gets incredibly defensive if you refute any of it
