I think the show would be more fucked up and more controversial if Cartman was a girl. Do you really think Comedy Central would be okay with:

>an episode where she imagines Kyle sucking her... privates after Kyle loses a bet
>an episode where Kyle smells her farts for the sake of world peace

That's all the messed up stuff that happens to Cartman I can think of off the top of my head. I guess it's okay when it's a boy on the receiving end but there's no doubt in my mind this show wouldn't have gotten so far if Cartman was a girl. Especially with the outrage culture we live in and how the outrage mob wants to see females portrayed in media nowadays.
