I find it hilarious that the sole episode Yuri wrote was the one that could very well belong to a harem anime.
That said, i'm not that salty about the Ben x Julie ship burning down, specially because of a dumb reason, i mellowed out to that.
But it did piss me off they burned the bridge with Ester. I know it wasn't going to happen, because Kai is fully human, but that did leave a bitter after taste. They were such a fun couple to see together.

the real problem with Julie is that she was undercut and made redundant by Gwen and Kevin's pairing, the writers already had a ongoing romance to work with so all that was left for her and Ben was all the obligatory stupid couple arguments they didn't want Gwen and Kevin to have.

to be honest by the end of uaf Julie was damaged goods almost every episode with her had her and ben arguing over ship or some shit that's if the writers didn't outright forget about her and try and pair Ben off with eunice or that wheelchair girl, I can't really blame OV too much for wanting rid of the pair even if they could've easily fix now they didn't have Gwevin there to drag it down.

Yes it is, if she not a damsel in distress it'll inevitably end with a "Why isn't you Superhero life all about ME" shit we saw in netflix Amber and Sony MJ and so many others just so the splot has something for the character to actually do in the story.
And giving the love interest superpowers of her own doesn't really make anything better because that just makes our main Hero look less important.

The usual explanation is that the crew was really in love with making OS Ben 10K the real true future for the main timeline for whatever reason (even though the future it showed didn't makes sense anymore) and due to a random popup trivia from OS saying Kai was 10K's wife they felt beholden to make it happen by any means. It's not nessisarally that they liked Kai specifically but more that she was a part of the future they were forcing.

There was a Kai focused episode where their future son tried locking them in a room to get them to fuck. Ester's in the episode too and overhears that they're "destined" to be together. Later on in the harem episode, Ester's acting weird and trying to tell Ben something, but keeps getting interrupted. Ben thinks she wants to finally transition into girlfriend territory, but it's revealed that Antonio, Gwen's palette swap cousin's boyfriend, has started dating her. Ester felt like she was fighting fate by pursing Ben, so she gave up on him. Her and Antonio kiss, drive off on his motorcycle, and Ben says they'll always be friends. It's awful.

I asked for contradictions, not plot holes. There's nothing that explicitly says Kevin couldn't have been an Osmosian because there's nothing that explicitly says he was a mutant (aside from a toy). I don't like the Osmosian explanation, but it was an explanation. And dumb as it is, it's even dumber of OV to try and change it, especially since doing so creates new plot holes. UAF already fucked it up. You can't "fix" it without fucking things up more.
