I get that but no one has ever said "That's what your girlfriend did with you last night," in reference to being replaced. Even replacing "with" which implies togetherness with "to" which implies a one-way street wouldn't fix the shit dialogue. And what guy would react like this? That's what doesn't make sense to me.
