Well, I haven't seen the Ten Commandments, so I can't really comment on that movie. I guess the weird thing about Prince of Egypt is that it's ostensibly a children's movie but the disclaimer at the start doesn't warn about the all the gruesome imagery or heavy themes, instead it's just pointing out it's not perfectly accurate and that you should just read Exodus if you want to know what it actually says.
